About the role

Reporting directly to the Head of Group Financial Control, Capco are looking for a hands-on and experienced finance professional to join their Global Financial Control Team.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Leading a small team based out in India working alongside the Global team based in London.
  • Support the Group Financial Control team in month close to help deliver an efficient close process
  • Support the Group Financial Control team in various quarterly reporting to the Parent Group
  • Responsible for overseeing and supporting all local finance teams for ensuring accurate and robust financial information is recorded in a timely manner.
  • Establishing themselves as one of the key group finance contacts for these local finance teams.
  • Analytically review monthly P&L and balance sheets of the Capco Group to ensure key movements are understood and accounted for correctly
  • Regularly review balance sheet reconciliations for Capco legal entities to ensure that all reconciliations are completed, reconciling items identified and resolved in a timely manner
  • Provide global monthly analysis and breakdowns of key accounts as required, for example other receivables and payables, accrued revenue, aged trade receivables.
  • Help support review and preparation of accounting policies and ensure applied and followed within the business.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX regulations.
  • Provide support in other areas of focus such as tax, transfer pricing and intercompany matching where required.
  • Support with the Group/Local statutory reporting and SOX audits
  • Ad hoc analysis and support as required within the Financial Control Team

 

About the person

  • Experience in working in a hands-on finance role either at an operational or group finance level
  • Qualified chartered accountant with proven post qualifying experience (10yrs+) in Financial Control
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Motivated self-starter comfortable working independently
  • Strong communication skills to ensure effective delivery and demonstrate upward management in a remote environment
  • Proactive and a willingness to learn and understand the numbers
  • Strong focus on process and control within a financial environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills; in building relationships, managing expectations in interacting with all levels of management
  • Able to operate in quickly changing environments whilst being well organized, pro-active and deadline driven
  • Experience of working in a global company with multiple legal entities

Excellent Excel skills and prior experience of SAP or similar is desirable
