Key Responsibilities:

  •                         Test Planning and Preparation:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
  • Identify and prioritize test cases based on risk analysis and business impact.
  •                         Manual Testing Execution:
  • Execute test cases manually to identify defects, bugs, and usability issues.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure the stability of existing functionality after code changes.
  • Document test results, track defects, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  •                         Defect Management:
  • Report defects accurately using designated defect tracking tools.
  • Work closely with development teams to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  • Verify fixes and ensure proper closure of defects in a timely manner.
  •                         Quality Assurance:
  • Maintain a high level of quality standards throughout the testing process.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of testing methodologies.
  • Participate in peer reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve overall product quality.
  •                         Communication and Collaboration:
  • Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, stand-ups, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years and maximum 7 years of experience in manual software testing.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
