The Regulatory Engagement and Governance Senior Manager plays a leading role in relation to model governance activities in the Traded Risk Management (TRM) function. Specifically, this role focuses on the model planning, model lifecycle management and regulatory engagement for Market Risk models, and coordination of TRM-wide activities related to the Deterministic Quantitative Methods (DQM).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Risk model planning and lifecycle management, model inventory ownership, and leading periodic reviews mandated by the Group Model Risk Standards (Annual Status Assessment, Annual Model Sponsor Attestation, Semi-Annual Model Owner Attestation).
2. Planning and lifecycle management activities for the models and DQMs implemented as part of the Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) regulatory roll-out.
3. Lead coordinator for TRM-owned DQMs - knowledge of Group Standards and Model Risk Management System (MRMS) requirements, ownership of the MRMS DQM inventory, coordination of periodic review exercises mandated by the Model Risk Management department.
4. Regulatory engagement lead for Market Risk models and DQMs (Internal Model Approach (IMA) and FRTB) – coordination of periodic meetings, and regulatory applications.
5. Supporting TRM country stakeholders in relation to model inventory and regulatory/audit exercises involving Market Risk models and TRM DQMs.
6. Supporting Market Risk Model Performance Monitoring and Model Issue monitoring activities.
7. Participation in the working groups and user acceptance testing (UAT) for the new MRMS system.

Risk Management-Identification, assessment, monitoring, control and mitigation of Model and Traded risks applicable to the Group.
Governance-Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas; Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
