Senior Software Engineer (Cloud)

Role Summary

• BBY India is seeking Senior Software Engineers (Cloud) to play a key role in shaping Best Buy’s Cloud Data and AI Foundation (Cloud Observability & Cloud IaC Automation) team. You will work with Product Managers, User Experience Designers, Architects, and other team members to modernize and build products that align to the product team’s vision and strategy.
• The engineering of these products will leverage multi-cloud platforms, human centered design, Agile and DevOps principles to deliver industry leading solutions at high velocity with unrivaled quality.
• You will work on a team of talented software engineering professionals, leading by example, and mentoring others. All of this will be done by embracing inclusive behaviors, working through ambiguity, demonstrating a strong attention to detail, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Each role will work on one of the below teams:

• Team Overview
• The Data and AI enablement teams are enabling capabilities to accelerate end to end data and AI adoption across Advanced Analytics, Product Teams, and Best Buy Sales and Operations Teams. The broader team is responsible for data strategy, availability, and adoption via self-service tools including AI model registry, activation of models for business, multichannel testing, customer relationship measurement. This team is committed to delivering the right data and AI solutions following the guidelines provided in our Responsible AI principles.
• Cloud Observability: The Cloud Observability Pod is an integral part of the Cloud Data Foundation (CDF) team, dedicated to delivering essential capabilities within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support Data and AI enablement and adoption. This team plays a pivotal role in continuously enhancing FinOps practices, including cloud-native service optimization, capacity management, self-service cost reporting, alerting, and anomaly detection. Leveraging GCP services such as Looker Studio Pro, BigQuery (BQ), and Cloud Functions, the Cloud Observability Pod develops and delivers robust observability tools and services.
•  Cloud IaC Automation: The Cloud IaC Automation Pod is an integral part of the Cloud Data and AI Foundation team, dedicated to delivering essential capabilities within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support Data and AI enablement and adoption. This team plays a critical role in continually enhancing the capabilities of the IaC automation pipeline. The pipeline is leveraged by the Data and AI teams to provision cloud-native services with an automated, declarative, and immutable method. The pipeline leverages many technologies such as GCP cloud-native, open-source, and SaaS to provide a robust service offering.
