Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++ or Python.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and Agentic AI frameworks.
• Experience in software development, designing and implementing high-volume, distributed systems or cloud-native infrastructure.
• Ability to take ambiguous product requirements and translate them into concrete, scalable technical architectures.

About the job

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will drive the technical development and evolution of our centralized asset repository. This platform serves as the single source of truth for an organization’s digital ecosystem, encompassing Application Programming Interface (APIs), Model Context Protocol (MCP) Servers, and AI Agents.

In this role, you will be a lead contributor to the Hub’s integration within the Apigee portfolio and its expansion as the primary catalog for all AI Assets on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will design and implement the robust infrastructure required to automate asset discovery via deep gateway integrations and build the analytics engines that make these assets ready for Agentic applications. You will play a critical role in empowering developers to accelerate AI Agent creation by ensuring critical assets are discoverable, evaluable, and consumption-ready.

To centralize the organization’s digital assets APIs, MCP Servers, and Agents into a single source of truth. We empower teams to accelerate Agent development and streamline portfolio management by ensuring every critical asset is easily discoverable, evaluable, and reusable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and coding of core features that transform the Hub into a definitive repository for APIs, Model Context Protocol (MCP) Servers, and Agents.
• Build highly scalable, distributed systems that automate asset discovery through deep integrations with various API Gateways.
• Develop the interfaces and schemas required to make organizational assets available and "understandable" for consumption by AI Agents.
• Drive high engineering standards across the team through rigorous design reviews, code reviews, and the implementation of best practices in cloud-native development.
• Act as a technical lead for mid-level engineers, helping to solve complex technical bottlenecks and improve system reliability.
