Senior Software Engineer, Core Data

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
  
• 5 years of experience in working with embedded operating systems.
• 5 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

• 8 years of experience in leading engineering teams in a changing environment with the knowledge of data management and processing technologies, including SQL, query engines, and infrastructure.
• Experience in developing and maintaining distributed systems with excellent communication and teamwork skills promoting collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Write and test product or system development code.
• Guide design reviews with peers and stakeholders to select among available technologies.
• Implement data-motivate approaches to identify and define metrics that measure the developer experience, developer productivity and improve reliability of Core data products.
• Collaborate with Core data team to identify and prioritize developer experience and productivity tests and design and implement solutions such as tooling, frameworks, and best practices to address these tests.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
