Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
  
• Experience leading technical development of large-scale systems.

In this role, you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Drive and own the technical design and scoping for major features, analyzing alternatives and recommending solutions that balance short-term delivery with long-term architectural health.
• Analyze Play’s infrastructure to ensure tight integration with the main Play Store app.
• Advocate and integrate AI tools to unlock team velocity and impact.
• Be responsible for the full lifecycle, including development and deployment, of features in an app available for users.
• Maintain the technical excellence for the team and guide the work of adjacent engineers.
