Job Description

Role: Senior Software Tester

Location: Bangalore/Remote (India)

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong pharma QC Microbiology background, complemented by technical skills such as software installation, upgrades, system configuration, and database queries. The ideal candidate is passionate about the QC Microbiology domain and has experience working with pharmaceutical software systems such as MODA‑EM or similar platforms.

Key responsibilities listed below:

• Work closely with clients to understand QC Microbiology processes and support workflow configuration and validation of MODA or similar software systems.
• Perform software installations, upgrades, execute database queries (SQL), and deliver training to new and existing customers.
• Execute validation activities including IQ, OQ, functional testing, and validation script creation.
• Support implementation of software systems in regulated laboratories or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to ensure software quality and compliance.
• Travel as required, primarily within India.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of one or more of the following:
  SQL Server, Oracle, Windows Server, Crystal Reports, Networking fundamentals, Software Testing Lifecycle, Azure DevOps.
• Experience in creating workflows, validation documents, and test scripts.
• Hands‑on experience with MODA‑EM or similar QC Microbiology software systems.

Process Skills:

• Good understanding of scripting concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand client processes and deliver high-quality outputs.
• Prior experience in the QC Microbiology domain preferred.
• Willingness to travel within India as needed.

Behavioral Skills:

• Results-oriented with strong self-management and independent working ability.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable handling customer calls and virtual meetings.
• Highly motivated, proactive, and capable of multitasking.
• Experience working with multi-geographical teams.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Lab Systems, Pharma IT, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in QC Microbiology is required.
