Software Engineer - RSC P

About the team

The Polaris Platform Bangalore team (a.k.a. Legion team) at Rubrik provides the core platforms and systems that enable product engineers to efficiently build and operate scalable and reliable applications in the cloud and also the on-prem version of the control plane. Polaris Platform has a horizontal charter with our customers being both external customers as well as Rubrik internal teams. 

Presently, the Legion team is working on enabling product led trials, license management & enforcement, making  its cloud deployment infrastructure more efficient. Legion team also owns the on-prem RSC (RSC-P) version and is currently working on supporting it on different deployments, while ensuring it scales and is performant like its cloud counterpart. 

What you’ll do

• Take full ownership of projects from design to implementation, test and deployment
• Design, develop, and deliver the next generation Cluster Health Monitoring System
• Assess the reliability of the Linux system stack and create new features to enhance the error handling and performance in Rubrik product stack
• Design, develop and operationalize high performance, scalable, reliable and resilient system infrastructure level services
• Diagnose and resolve problems in complex customer environments

Experience and qualifications you’ll need

• Computer Science graduate with strong problem-solving abilities
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems design
• Strong background in Systems programming
• Programming and debugging knowledge in C++, Java, Scala
• Extensive experience with Linux kernel or equivalent, and kernel debugging
• 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in developing enterprise software 
• Strong interest in learning new technologies, solve complex problems and challenges
• Knowledge in Storage, Filesystems or Data Protection technologies is a plus
