Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. The products our portfolio include Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Power BI. Our mission is to build the data platform for the age of AI, powering a new class of data-first applications and driving a data culture. 

 

​​Within Azure Data, the Microsoft Fabric platform team builds and maintains the operating system and provides customers a unified data stack to run an entire data estate. The platform provides a unified experience, unified governance, enables a unified business model and a unified architecture.

​​Within Fabric, Data Team builds telemetry pipelines for both internal and external customers. This is a mission critical service built for scale, compliance and data guarantees also leveraging our world class technologies like Power BI, Azure Data Explorer, EventHub, Azure Data Factory to ensure robust telemetry flow and ease of consumption for diagnostics and analytics.

Responsibilities

​​Develop and maintain core-services, APIs and SDKs that are used to produce, pipeline and consume telemetry.

Work with stakeholders to build and facilitate the usage of service data models, leveraging Azure and proprietary technologies.

 

Drive improvements around areas of ownership in the service.

 

Lead architecture, design, and develop features and solutions with high quality and scalability. 

 

Design, implement, and refine chosen solutions in close partnership with Product Management and partner teams. 

 

Be part of the on-call rotation for maintaining service health​.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications 

 

​​Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, C, C++, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.​ 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

 

​​Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
