Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies.

Preferred qualifications:

• 5 years of people management experience.
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• Experience in managing projects and collaborating across different teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of engineers and engineering managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Define the technical roadmap and strategy for the Kubernetes Infrastructure layer of the Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) product line.
• Oversee the end-to-end development life-cycle, from concept and design to deployment and maintenance.
• Guide the team in integrating AI into their daily routines to maximize productivity.
• Work closely with GDC operators, SREs (Site Reliability Engineers), and other engineering teams to identify needs and deliver impactful solutions.
