Job Description:

   

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience: 2-4 years as a Software QA Engineer in networking and security environments with hands-on feature validation and troubleshooting experience.

Key Technical Skills:

Networking & Security:

• Strong understanding of the OSI model and networking protocols:

TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, HTTP, DNS, VLANs.

SAML, SNMP, GRE, IPSEC, Syslog, SSH.

• Hands-on experience configuring and validating network/security devices including:

Firewalls, VPNs, switches, and routers.

• Working knowledge of Data Networking (L2 / L3, Switching, Routing fundamentals, WLAN basics).
• Working knowledge of RADIUS, AAA authentication flows, and NAC (Network Access Control) concepts with experience validating authentication scenarios.
• Hands-on experience in configuring and testing with Active Directory, LDAP, and other authentication sources.

Virtualization & Cloud Technologies:

• Hands-on experience with VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V including VM deployment, networking configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience testing applications deployed in AWS or Azure environments, including basic networking and security validation.
• Exposure to container-based technologies and Kubernetes is a plus.

System Testing & Performance:

• Ability to execute feature-level validation including test execution, basic test planning support, defect logging, and regression verification.
• Good working knowledge of Linux CLI for log analysis and basic service/network troubleshooting.
• Understanding of system-level and load/performance testing concepts.
• Exposure to load/performance tools such as Breaking Point or Spirent is a plus.

Test Automation & Scripting:

• Hands-on experience in test automation development using Python and Selenium.
• Ability to develop and maintain automation scripts for feature validation and regression coverage.
• Understanding of automation framework structure, reusable components and test data management.
• Ability to debug and enhance existing automation suites.
• Exposure to API automation and backend validation.

The engineer is expected to take ownership of assigned features with guidance, actively contribute to automation efforts, and support overall regression and validation initiatives.
