Role Overview:

We are seeking an Amazon Connect Solution Developer to implement and optimize of an Amazon Connect contact center for a client in the Mobile Carrier space.

This role blends hands‑on development with developing and unit testing the client’s Amazon Connect–based platform using API‑driven automation, AWS Lambda, Agentic AI, and conversational AI.

This is a long‑term contract role with right‑to‑hire / FTE conversion. The individual will work closely with client product, platform, and operations teams, as well as Mphasis architects

Key Responsibilities

Development & Integration (Hands‑On)

• Build, and enhance AWS Lambda functions (Node.js / Python) for orchestration and backend integration.
• Create and modify REST APIs (via Amazon API Gateway) to integrate Amazon Connect with the client’s backend systems.
• Implement and optimize Amazon Connect contact flows, including deterministic and Agentic AI‑driven flows.
• Integrate conversational AI using Amazon Lex, Amazon Bedrock (core models), and agentic orchestration patterns.
• Support omnichannel experiences (Voice, Chat, WhatsApp, SMS, Web/App chat

Agentic AI & Conversational AI

• Implement Agentic AI patterns that front‑end existing deterministic workflows.
• Leverage Amazon Bedrock for intent understanding, reasoning, summarization
• Improve customer experience through natural voice interactions, intelligent routing, and contextual hand‑offs to agents.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging AWS AI services (e.g., speech‑to‑speech, advanced TTS, evolving agent frameworks) pragmatically based on maturity and timeline.

Environment, Quality & Delivery

• Work across Dev, QA, Staging, and Production environments with strong SDLC discipline.
• Support CI/CD patterns for Connect assets, Lambda, and configuration promotion.
• Collaborate with QA and business teams on UAT, defect resolution, and production readiness.
• Provide documentation, architectural diagrams, and operational runbooks.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills

• 5+ years of overall experience in hands‑on development.
• Strong experience with AWS, especially:
  • Amazon Connect | AWS Lambda | API Gateway | IAM | CloudWatch | S3
• Proven ability to build APIs and backend integrations.
• Experience with conversational AI platforms (Amazon Lex preferred).
• Experience with Amazon Bedrock and/or LLM‑driven code.
• Experience with Amazon Connect Unlimited AI, Agentic AI workflows, and LLM‑driven orchestration

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing Agentic AI in customer service or contact center environments.
• Familiarity with omnichannel contact center architectures.
• AWS Certifications (Developer) preferred but not required.
• Prior experience in fast‑moving product or startup‑like environments.

Certifications (Preferred)

• AWS Certified Developer – Associate
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
