5.    Key Responsibilities –

Key Responsibilities:
• Database Migrations, Database Operations & Lifecycle Management
• Install, configure, Migrate, patch, and upgrade Oracle Database instances (11g → 19c+)
• Manage schema changes, backup/recovery (RMAN, Data Guard), and storage optimization
• Monitor performance and availability using tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager or Tanium
integrations
• Performance & Reliability
• Conduct proactive tuning and optimization (AWR, ASH, SQL tuning)
• Ensure high availability, redundancy, and DR strategy (RAC, Data Guard, RMAN)
• Collaborate with system and cloud teams for infrastructure performance reviews
• Security & Compliance
• Enforce database hardening, encryption, and user access controls
• Support audits, patch compliance, and vulnerability remediation (CIS, Tenable, etc.)
• Automation & Standardization
• Automate backup, refresh, and monitoring workflows
• Contribute to global DBA standards, SOPs, and documentation repositories
• Collaboration & Support
• Partner with Database Support Vendor and regional teams for incident and change management
• Support developers and data engineers in SQL optimization and capacity planning
• Participate in global technical communities and improvement initiatives
• Provide expert-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex database issues
