Systems Development Engineer III, Core

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT-related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 3 years of experience with systems automation.
• 3 years of experience as a Linux System Development Engineer, Systems Administrator, or DevOps Engineer with a focus on managing projects and environments.
• 3 years of experience in troubleshooting and problem solving within systems, including participation in on-call rotations and managing networking requirements.

Preferred qualifications:

• 3 years of experience working with vendors or customers.
• Experience or familiarity with supporting alternate platforms including Android and iOS.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Salt, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Knowledge of out of band management protocols such as IPMI and Redfish.
• Familiarity with running and maintaining Java Enterprise software.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers on defining distributed systems requirements, testing procedures, and proposing solutions.
  
• Participate in on-call activities and manage the systems within the domain and work with the primary responders to help fix system infrastructure issues.
• Test on heterogeneous physical and virtual devices in an easy, reliable, and scalable way.
• Add new features, new devices, and new infrastructure.
