Job Title:

Team Lead AP – Europe & India

Summary:

The Accounts Payable Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the team of 8 members to ensure the accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role will involve supervising daily operations, improve processes, and support financial reporting requirements along with German language expertise and will be reporting to Global AP&TE Leader.

Responsibilities Include:

Lead, mentor, and manage Accounts Payable team of Europe & India region.
Allocate daily workloads, monitor productivity, and ensure adherence to SLAs and KPIs.
Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews; provide coaching and development plans.
Ensure adequate backup, cross-training, and effective knowledge transfer within the team.
Perform weekly cash forecast analysis and investigate variances.
Analyze parked invoices in collaboration with the business, resolve issues efficiently, and ensure timely release of invoices for payment.
Oversee end-to-end AP operations, including PO and Non-PO invoice processing, GR/IR clearing, vendor reconciliations, and payment processing.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close activities.
Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders such as Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, and Controlling.
Collaborate with IT and process teams during system enhancements, upgrades, and automation initiatives.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and company accounting policies.
Prepare for and support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
Coordinate with global AP teams to ensure process consistency, standardization, and best practices.
To deliver daily, monthly & quarter end closing processes for AP Europe and India region within timelines and accuracy by ensuring delegation of tasks to team as well as themselves.

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

B.Com with 10+ years of experience in Accounts Payable Function.
3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
SAP hands-on experience.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
German language proficiency (Preferred)
