Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer 2 to join our technical support team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Citrix technologies. This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage virtual environments effectively. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, analyzing infrastructure issues, and coordinating with various support groups to ensure seamless operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and support Azure Virtual Machines and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
• Provide technical support for Citrix technologies including web interface, storefront, Director, VDA, and Receiver.
• Administer Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop environments, including managing ICA policies.
• Oversee VMware ESX environments and ensure optimal performance of virtual machines.
• Utilize PowerShell for automation and management of Windows endpoints (thin and thick clients).
• Analyze and troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues, driving to root cause resolution.
• Coordinate with various infrastructure and application support groups to mitigate issues effectively.
• Monitor performance using tools such as Splunk and Kibana, providing insights for improvements.
• Maintain knowledge of App-V, AppDNA, and associated technologies.
• Support networking and storage solutions as needed, contributing to overall infrastructure health.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proficient in Azure Cloud technologies, specifically Desktop and AVD.
• Strong experience with Citrix technologies including XenApp, XenDesktop, and CVAD.
• Hands-on experience with VMware, NetScaler, AppSense, and Windows endpoint technologies.
• Expertise in PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with a focus on infrastructure-related issues.
• Ability to analyze problems and drive to root cause resolution.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with performance monitoring tools such as Splunk and Kibana.
• Experience with Citrix Cloud and AWS Workspaces.
• Knowledge of networking and storage solutions is an added advantage.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in Azure, Citrix, or VMware technologies are a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
