Role Overview

The Data, AI & Analytics Intern will support Lilly’s Manufacturing & Quality organization in leveraging data-driven insights and emerging AI technologies to enhance operational performance, product quality, and decision-making.

This role provides hands-on exposure to real-world manufacturing data, analytics tools, and use cases in a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Manufacturing & Quality teams to understand business processes, data sources, and performance metrics

• Collect, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data from production, quality, and operations systems

• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to track key operational and quality KPIs

• Support exploratory data analysis to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities

• Assist in building or evaluating AI/ML models for:

  • Process optimization

  • Quality prediction and deviation analysis

  • Root cause analysis and anomaly detection

• Document insights, methodologies, and recommendations clearly for business stakeholders

• Present findings and outcomes at the end of the internship
