Technical Specialist

As a Technical Specialist, you will be at the forefront of driving automation and process improvements across the Commodities Operations. Your expertise will focus on using tools such as RPA, AI, Power BI, R, Python, VBA Macros, and Power Apps/Flows to deliver required solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and implement end-to-end automation solutions using mentioned tools to optimize workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Extract insights from complex datasets, build interactive dashboards, and provide actionable recommendations to teams.
  • Develop robust scripts to streamline repetitive processes and improve operational efficiency. Collaborate with production teams to identify challenges, define requirements, and design scalable technical solutions that drive business value.
  • Partner with various teams, to integrate automation and analytics solutions seamlessly into existing infrastructure.
  • Challenge the status-quo by proposing innovative ideas, driving simplification efforts, and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Train and mentor team members on automation tools and techniques, encouraging the adoption of new technologies.
  • Proactively supervise scheduled scripts & analytics dashboards, address issues, and provide ongoing support for deployed solutions.
  • Knowledge on Commodities or any specific asset class within Commodities will be an added advantage.
  • Experience of interacting at senior level Managers and ensuring credibility is maintained through strong delivery against commitments.
  • Should be able to understand the core APIs and how to use them in BCPs and come up with common functionalities which could be reused across teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Expertise in Python & R scripting, Power Apps, VBA Macros, RPA implementation and Power BI
  • Solid grasp of automation frameworks and data visualization principles.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies & integrate them into business processes. Analytical approach with an interest in problem-solving and process optimization.
  • Tight-knit collaboration and interpersonal skills for working across different teams.
  • Prior experience in delivering automation solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with APIs, data integrations, and analytics techniques is an advantage.
  • Impact and Scope Influence decision-making through data-driven insights and automated solutions.
  • Lead initiatives that transform operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Champion the culture of innovation by introducing new technologies and methodologies.
