Job Description

 

  • Hardware Rework and Repair:
    • Perform hardware rework and repair on electronic assemblies, PCBs, semiconductor devices, and related components following engineering guidelines and standard operating procedures.
    • Diagnose hardware failures using schematics, test instruments (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers), and debugging tools; accurately identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
    • Execute component-level replacements, soldering/desoldering (SMT and through-hole), and board-level modifications with high precision while maintaining integrity of sensitive electronic components.
    • Conduct inspection and testing of repaired boards to ensure functionality and compliance with design specifications before returning to production or lab use.
    • Ensure all rework and repair activities adhere to quality standards, ESD protection, and laboratory safety guidelines.
    • Maintain comprehensive repair documentation, including repair actions, failure analysis reports, and test results, to ensure traceability, knowledge sharing, and audit readiness.
    • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve recurring hardware issues and suggest process improvements for reliability and efficiency.
  • R&D Support:
    • Assist researchers and engineers with equipment setup and experiments.
    • Provide technical support to optimize lab workflows.
    • Maintain accurate records for equipment and processes.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce cleanroom protocols.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in ECE or B.E. Electronics and Communication / Electrical and Electronics.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in hardware rework, PCB repair, or semiconductor component repair.
  • Hands-on experience with SMT and through-hole soldering/desoldering, board-level modifications, and component replacement.
  • Strong understanding of schematics, PCB layouts, and hardware troubleshooting techniques.
  • Knowledge of ESD protection, quality standards, and lab safety practices.
  • Experience in documenting repair actions, failure analysis, and maintaining audit-ready logs is preferred.
