Vice President – Health, Safety and Environment: APAC

Job Description

What you will be doing:

In this role you will actively participate in the development and execution of the regional HS&E strategy. You will be a thought leader who influences and delivers through:

• Providing leadership expertise over the regional HSE team in Asia Pacific - Coach and mentor the leadership to empower them to discharge their HSE accountabilities and responsibilities.
• Advise/ Support the development of HSE skills to enable employees to discharge their responsibilities, define and monitor the development requirements for HS&E critical roles and competencies.
• Risk Management - Ensure the site/business are adequately informed regarding the risk from their activities, processes and assets/infrastructure. Help establish treatment actions and improvement plans aligned to the residual risk.
• Shared Learning - Implement robust regional governance to ensure that all reportable HSE incidents are appropriately reported, sentenced and investigated to root cause. Ensure learning from incidents is shared across the region and robust improvement plans are developed at site/business levels.
• Governance - Ensure compliance with the HSE governance structure across the region in accordance with the HSE Accountability Framework. Report on the overall effectiveness of governance and engage with leaders to implement any required improvements.
• Stakeholder Engagement - Identify key stakeholders at site/business levels. Provide and maintain an engagement plan. Interface with Regulators.
• Identifying and share continual improvement opportunities both in the region and globally to promote and drive to one Rolls-Royce.

A successful Vice President – Health, Safety and Environment: APAC will be:

• A professionally qualified, experienced HS&E leader with a degree or equivalent in HSE and/or professional certifications (Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMISOH)/ Associate Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (AIEMA) or equivalent). Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in the HSE field with 5 years experience working in an engineering manufacturing environment.

• Experience in leading a regional role, within similarly regulated environment
