JOB POSITION

We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Functional Lead with deep expertise in Core HR and Compensation modules to join the CGS HRIS team. This role will serve as a key liaison between HR, HRIS, Technical and business teams to ensure Workday is optimized to support business needs.

This role is ideal for a pro-active Workday module lead who understands both the functional needs of HR teams and the technical capabilities of the Workday platform. The role will drive the cross-functional collaboration to enhance existing capabilities, resolve issues and provide guidance to stakeholders to maintain integrity of the platform design.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

Strategic Leadership:

  • Serve as the lead advisor and SME for Workday  Core HR and Compensation functionality, aligning system capabilities with business goals
  • Champion Workday best practices with Governance across the enterprise
  • Participate in the strategic roadmap planning for HR Technology with a focus on scalability, automation and compliance

Functional and Technical Expertise:

  • Own the end-to-end configuration changes of core HR and comp
  • Oversee complex Workday configurations, ensuring they support Enterprise design, policy changes and localized requirements
  • Gather and influence specific HRIS business application requirements to address complex and varied business process needs.
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, and maintains HRIS solutions to address complex and varied business process needs.
  • Develops HRIS project tasks as inputs into business project plans, identifies SMEs, and coordinates resources, engaging with those across the enterprise.
  • Develops or collaborates with Development staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.
  • Consults with business partners concerning HRIS applications and implementation or integrations of technology.
  • Acts as a resource to users of the software to address questions/issues.
  • Lead projects which impact data maintenance on HRIS applications.
  • Advises HR Business COE Stakeholders on the design and utilization of information systems.
  • Manages program and project implementations.
  • May provide direction and guidance to team members and serve as an expert for the team.

QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
  • Workday Certified will be an added advantage

EXPERIENCE

  • Min 5-7 years of functional Workday experience is required with expertise in  Core HR and Compensation modules
  • Experience in at least one or two end-to-end Workday implementation project

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Workday  Core HR and Compensation module
  • Experience on at least one or two end-to-end Workday implementation project
  • Practical experience gained on Workday implementation projects, HR data migration and/or integrations projects
  • Strong consulting skills, handling customer expectations
  • Strong analytical mindset and usage of analytics and reporting tools
  • Excellent communication skills delivering to functional and management audiences, as well as to external Client
  • Knowledge of HRIS, Program Management tools and MS Office
