Workday Prism & Accounting Systems Analyst

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Workday Prism & Accounting Center (AC) Specialist to support the design, development, and maintenance of data integrations, analytics, and accounting transformations across our Workday landscape. In this this role, you will partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Data Engineering, and Technology teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that improve data visibility, ensure financial accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency.

This is a Hybrid position located at our Bangalore, India, development center. You will be required to be on-site 2 to 3 days per week. When you are not working on-site, you will be working from your home office. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to our Bangalore office and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the role:

• You will design, build, and optimize Workday Prism datasets, ingestion processes, data transformations, and external data sources while creating dashboards and reports for Finance and Accounting.

• You will implement best practices for data quality, performance, governance, and troubleshoot ingestion, schema, or data issues.

• You will configure Accounting Center source mappings, transformation logic, and accounting rules, supporting the migration of manual or integration‑based accounting logic into Workday.

• You will work closely with Finance teams to validate journal creation, balancing, and reconciliation while supporting new business processes and resolving accounting or mapping discrepancies.

• You will collaborate with Data Engineering, Integrations, and Reporting teams to maintain data standards and support a wide range of Workday reporting tools.

• You will document specifications, support configuration and testing cycles, and ensure adherence to security, compliance, and data governance policies.

About You

• You should have 6-9 years in Workday Prism Analytics with Accounting Center and Cross-Functional responsibilities to design, build, and optimize Workday Prism datasets, ingestion processes, data transformations, and data pipelines, while also managing external data ingestion through SFTP, REST APIs, and other connectors.

• You will create dashboards, operational reports, and analytic insights for Finance, Accounting, and cross‑functional stakeholders, and implement best practices for incremental loads, performance tuning, data quality, and governance.

• You will troubleshoot dataset issues, ingestion failures, schema changes, and source‑system discrepancies to ensure accurate and reliable data flows. You will design and configure Accounting Center source mappings, transformation logic, and accounting rules, supporting the transition of accounting logic from spreadsheets and integrations into Accounting Center for stronger automation and transparency.

• You will partner with Finance and Accounting teams to validate journal creation, accounting treatments, balancing, and reconciliation logic, while also supporting new business processes, acquisitions, and system enhancements.

• You will perform root‑cause analysis of accounting errors, mapping issues, and transaction‑level discrepancies to maintain data and accounting integrity.

• You will collaborate cross‑functionally to maintain consistent data standards, support Workday financial reporting tools, document specifications and data lineage, contribute to tenant configuration and testing cycles, and ensure compliance with security, governance, and data policies.
