Role Overview

Role Title

Workplace Manager

Global Capability Center Overview

This is a rare opportunity to join a newly created flagship Global Capability Center in Bangalore, supporting a community of over 2,500 financial services and technology professionals.

The workplace spans 450,000 square feet across 9 floors, including 120,000 square feet of dedicated hospitality space. This includes two high-profile client-facing meeting floors, an internal staff restaurant, social hubs, and 70 meeting rooms and event spaces that support collaboration, innovation, and client engagement.

Role Accountability

The Workplace Manager leads and shapes the Workplace Ambassador program across the Global Capability Center, designing a workplace that is seamless, intuitive, and intentionally aligned to how employees work each day.

This is not a traditional soft services or facilities management role. It is a people‑led, experience‑driven position focused on owning and delivering a program that defines how Ambassadors engage with employees, how support is delivered across the workplace, and how the experience touches each employee so they can do their best work.

Pre‑opening leadership is central to this role. The Workplace Manager will build the Workplace Ambassador function from the ground up, leading the design of service models, recruiting and onboarding 6 Workplace Ambassadors, establishing standards and ways of working, and supporting the launch and mobilization of operations that set a new benchmark for workplace experience.

Key Role Accountabilities

  • Workplace Ambassador Ownership
Own, design, and continuously evolve the Workplace Ambassador workplace product, encompassing service models, employee journeys, floor coverage, and experience standards across 9 floors, supporting over 2,500 desks and more than 50 internal meeting spaces.
  • Ambassador Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop a visible, high‑impact team of 6 Workplace Ambassadors, ensuring consistent service behaviors, accountability, and pride in delivery.
  • Floor & Meeting Space Experience
Ensure team floors are consistently work‑ready; internal meeting spaces fully equipped with AV capabilities are proactively set and supported; and on‑floor amenities, including multifunctional print devices and hydration stations, are reliable, accessible, and intuitive to use.
  • Primary Employee Interface
Position the Workplace Ambassador team as the primary point of contact for employees across the workplace, delivering anticipatory, real‑time support and swift issue resolution that enables teams to focus on their work.
  • End‑to‑End Experience Integration
Coordinate closely with Technology, Facilities Management, Central Reservations, and service partners to integrate the end‑to‑end workplace experience ecosystem, ensuring all touchpoints from arrival through daily work and collaboration are deliberately connected and experienced as effortless by employees.
  • Stabilization & Continuous Improvement
Embed standards post‑opening, monitor experience outcomes, gather employee feedback, and continuously refine the Workplace Ambassador product to support performance, connection, and wellbeing at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead pre‑opening mobilization activities for the Workplace Ambassador program, coordinating plans, timelines, and readiness actions through opening and stabilization
  • Translate the workplace experience vision into operational service routines, daily coverage models, and floor support practices
  • Execute recruitment, onboarding, and training plans to ensure Workplace Ambassadors are confident, capable, and opening‑ready
  • Direct and support the day‑to‑day performance of a 6‑person Ambassador team, setting clear expectations and reinforcing service behaviors
  • Maintain daily oversight of team floors, meeting spaces, and shared amenities, proactively identifying issues and coordinating resolution
  • Work closely with Facilities Management, Technology, Central Reservations, HR, and Security to ensure smooth service handoffs and aligned delivery
  • Manage employee experience escalations, ensuring clear ownership, timely follow‑through, and effective outcomes
  • Monitor service performance against defined standards, identifying trends and improvement opportunities
  • Contribute to governance, reporting, and operating rhythms for the Ambassador program, supporting Director of Hospitality oversight
  • Provide visible, hands‑on leadership during opening and stabilization phases, reinforcing standards and consistent ways of working
  • Collaborate with HR, Facilities, IT, Security, and service partners to deliver an integrated workplace program
  • Capture employee feedback and translate insights into practical improvements
  • Track experience‑focused KPIs such as responsiveness, issue resolution, and service consistency
  • Maintain clear, concise reporting focused on employee impact and service outcomes

Delivering a World-Class Experience

  • Create a hospitality culture that feels personal, polished, and intuitive at scale
  • Build trusted relationships with employees, leaders, and clients through presence, empathy, and attention to detail
  • Maintain strong on-floor leadership with regular walkthroughs and real-time coaching
  • Support complex, high-profile events and engagements with flawless coordination
  • Proactively identify risks and ensure business continuity, security, and privacy standards are upheld
  • Champion innovation and best practices drawn from luxury hotels, corporate real estate, and global workplace experience models

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5 years of leadership experience across corporate real estate, leading workplaces, luxury hotels, and corporate hotel environments
  • Proven pre-opening experience is essential, including:
    • Launching large-scale hospitality or workplace environments
    • Designing service models and operational frameworks from scratch
    • Recruiting, training, and mobilizing teams for opening day readiness
  • Experience leading or supervising ambassadors, concierge, or front‑of‑house teams
  • Exposure to corporate offices, GCCs, or premium workplace environments preferred
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to motivate visible, customer‑facing teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Calm, solutions‑oriented mindset in fast‑paced environments
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow‑through
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with workplace systems is an advantage

Why This Role

  • Play a key role in the pre‑opening and launch of a flagship Global Capability Center in Bangalore
  • Help build and shape a hospitality‑led Workplace Ambassador program from the ground up
  • Operate in a highly visible, employee‑facing role within a global organization
  • Apply premium hospitality principles to deliver a seamless, modern workplace experience
  • Make a meaningful, lasting impact on how employees experience the workplace every day
