Job Description

  • etup & Operation: Install chucks, tools, and workpieces; set machine controls, speeds, and feeds; operate the lathe to turn, bore, face, or thread materials. 
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and job orders to determine specifications and operational sequences. 
  • Quality Control: Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure they meet strict tolerances; make adjustments as needed. 
  • Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance, clean machines, and replace dull cutting tools.
