QA / QC Manager

Job PurposeTo lead and manage the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions in a plastic masterbatches manufacturing unit, ensuring consistent product quality, compliance with customer specifications, and adherence to national and international quality standards.

• Key Responsibilities1. Quality Management System (QMS)Develop, implement, and maintain ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / IATF (if applicable) quality systems.
• Ensure compliance with customer quality requirements, regulatory norms, and internal SOPs.
• Lead internal audits, external audits, and customer audits.
• Handle corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) effectively.
• 2. Raw Material & Vendor QualityApprove and monitor quality of polymers, pigments, additives, fillers, and other raw materials.
• Conduct vendor audits and vendor performance evaluations.
• Define incoming material inspection standards and testing protocols.
• 3. In-Process & Finished Product QualityMonitor and control process parameters in extrusion, compounding, and pelletizing.
• Ensure testing of:
• 
  
• Melt Flow Index (MFI)
• Dispersion
• Color matching (ΔE, spectrophotometer)
• Moisture content
• Ash content
• Bulk density
• Approve finished goods before dispatch.
• 4. Laboratory ManagementOversee quality laboratory operations and testing equipment.
• Ensure calibration of instruments and maintenance of records.
• Introduce new testing methods as per market/customer requirements.
• 5. Customer Complaints & Technical SupportAnalyze and resolve customer complaints related to color variation, dispersion, processing issues, etc.
• Coordinate with R&D, Production, and Sales for root cause analysis and corrective action.

Support customers with technical documentation, COA, TDS, and trial support.
