Job Description
Job Title: Accountant – Bookkeeping, GST, Inventory & Procurement
Location: Bhiwandi/Thane HO
Experience Required: 3–5 Years
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage GST compliance, tax filings, inventory, accounting, and procurement processes. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial records, timely tax filings, proper stock management, and smooth vendor coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
GST & Tax Compliance
Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, monthly, quarterly, annual returns, etc.) accurately and on time.
Reconcile GST data with books of accounts and vendor filings.
Ensure compliance with GST laws and regulations.
Coordinate with tax consultants and auditors when required.
Maintain proper documentation for tax assessments and audits.
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records in accounting software.
Perform regular stock reconciliation and physical stock verification.
Track inventory movement and identify discrepancies.
Monitor stock levels and generate inventory reports.
Ensure proper valuation of inventory in financial statements.
Procurement & Vendor Management:
Manage purchase orders, vendor invoices, and payment processing.
Maintain vendor records and reconcile vendor statements.
Negotiate pricing and ensure cost-effective procurement.
Coordinate with internal departments for purchase requirements.
Ensure timely payment to vendors as per agreed terms.
General Accounting:
Maintain books of accounts (sales, purchase, expenses, bank reconciliation).
Prepare monthly MIS reports and financial summaries.
Assist in finalization of accounts and audits.
Ensure compliance with company financial policies.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field.
3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of GST laws and compliance.
Experience in inventory accounting and procurement processes.
Proficiency in ERP Next/Tally / Busy / Zoho Books or similar accounting software.
Good knowledge of MS Excel.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
