Role Title : Design Executive - AutoCAD

Department/ Function : Design

Reporting To: Design Manager / Project Manager

Experience: 2–6 years (can be adjusted as needed)

Location: Office / Factory / Project Site (as applicable)

Job PurposeThe AutoCAD Executive is responsible for preparing, modifying, and maintaining accurate technical drawings and layouts to support engineering, production, and project execution activities, ensuring adherence to design standards, timelines, and quality requirements.

• Roles & ResponsibilitiesDesign & DraftingPrepare 2D AutoCAD drawings including layouts, sections, elevations, fabrication drawings, and detailed component drawings.
• Modify and revise drawings based on design changes, site feedback, or client requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with technical specifications, industry standards, and internal guidelines.
• Maintain drawing version control and proper documentation.
• Project CoordinationCoordinate with engineering, project, production, and site teams to understand requirements and timelines.
• Incorporate inputs from project managers, architects, structural engineers, and clients into drawings.
• Support project execution by providing timely and accurate drawings.
• Documentation & RecordsMaintain a systematic drawing database (soft copies and backups).
• Prepare bill of quantities (BOQs) or material layouts where required.
• Assist in preparing technical documents and reports related to drawings.
• Quality & ComplianceEnsure drawings are error-free and ready for execution.
• Follow company quality standards and drawing approval processes.
• Address drawing-related queries from internal teams during execution.
• Support & Continuous ImprovementAssist senior designers or engineers as required.
• Suggest improvements in drafting standards, templates, and workflows.
• Stay updated with AutoCAD features and drafting best practices.
• Key Skills & CompetenciesTechnical SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD (2D mandatory).
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Knowledge of manufacturing / construction / fabrication drawings (as applicable).
• Behavioral SkillsAttention to detail and accuracy
• Good coordination and communication skills
• Ability to work under deadlines
• Willingness to learn and adapt
• QualificationsDiploma / ITI / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• Certification in AutoCAD is preferred.
