Maintenance Manager

Job Summary:The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, reliability, and efficiency of all plant machinery and utilities. The role involves planning and overseeing maintenance activities, minimizing downtime, and implementing preventive maintenance strategies to support continuous production in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

• Key Responsibilities:Plan, schedule, and oversee all preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure all production and utility equipment are in optimal working condition.
• Lead and manage maintenance technicians and support staff.
• Maintain and update maintenance logs, checklists, and reports.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams to reduce breakdowns and downtime.
• Implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and ensure timely procurement.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and energy efficiency.
• Supervise installation and commissioning of new machines or equipment.
• Manage annual maintenance budgets and cost control initiatives.
• Key Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs, motors, compressors, chillers, and packaging machines.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership and team management abilities.
• Good understanding of safety and compliance in manufacturing.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
• Qualifications & Experience: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in maintenance within FMCG, food processing, or manufacturing units.
• Experience with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) or similar systems preferred.
