Debt Recovery Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Debt Recovery Officer to manage overdue accounts and ensure timely recovery of outstanding payments. The role involves maintaining positive customer relations while negotiating settlements and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations

Key Responsibilities:

• Contact clients with overdue accounts via phone, email, or in person to arrange repayment.
• Negotiate payment plans or settlements in line with company guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of communications, payments, and agreements.
• Escalate unresolved cases to the legal or collections team where required.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly recovery reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with all debt collection laws and company policies.
• Work closely with internal teams (finance, legal, customer service) to resolve disputes.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients while ensuring recovery targets are met.
