Job Description

Online Vidya, an education platform committed to providing quality education, is seeking a results-driven Sales Executive to join its team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling courses from top UGC-DEB-approved universities to prospective students, helping them make informed career decisions. This is a dynamic role for a self-starter who thrives in a target-driven environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead generation and outreach: Identify and contact potential students through a variety of channels, including cold calls, email campaigns, social media, and online inquiries.
  • Sales process management: Intensely follow up on leads and guide them through the sales funnel, from initial inquiry to enrollment.
  • Product presentations and demonstrations: Conduct engaging presentations and counseling sessions to showcase the value of Online Vidya's courses and programs.
  • Needs analysis and solution selling: Actively listen to and understand prospective students' career goals and needs to recommend the most suitable course or program.
  • Relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with students to ensure satisfaction and generate referrals.
  • Target achievement: Meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales and revenue targets.
  • CRM and reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Market intelligence: Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to provide feedback to the marketing and management teams. 

Qualifications and skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in any discipline; a background in Sales, Marketing, or Education is preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a sales role, preferably within the EdTech or B2C sectors.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and persuade.
  • Resilience: Possesses perseverance and is comfortable handling objections and rejection in a competitive, high-pressure environment.
  • Problem-solving: Strong ability to think on your feet and provide creative solutions to student concerns.
  • Motivation: Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong track record of over-achieving sales quotas.
  • Technical aptitude: Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite.
  • Industry knowledge: A quick learner with high grasping ability to acquire in-depth product knowledge.
