Job Description

Role Summary 

The District Manager – Field Sales is responsible for driving sales performance and revenue 

growth across the allotted districts. The role involves extensive field sales, regular market 

visits, close coordination with Param Mitr and Sahaj Mitr, monitoring channel and LOB

wise performance, and ensuring high-quality business acquisition while maintaining 

compliance standards. 


Key Responsibilities 


1. Sales & Revenue Growth 

• Drive achievement of district-level revenue and business targets 

• Focus on new business acquisition and rollout across assigned districts 

• Monitor LOB-wise performance and take corrective actions to improve productivity 

• Ensure daily market visits to identify opportunities and strengthen presence 


2. New Business Acquisition & Rollout 

• Plan and execute new business rollouts as per company strategy 

• Identify new markets, partners, and potential business locations 

• Ensure steady growth in active transacting partners 


3. Channel Appointment & Training 

• Appoint Sahaj Mitr and Param Mitr as per defined criteria 

• Conduct regular training, onboarding, and handholding of partners 

• Enable partners to generate quality and sustainable business 


4. Sales Operations & Business Quality 

• Oversee sales operations to ensure consistent business transactions 

• Maintain quality of business with focus on compliance and persistency 

• Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance 


5. Channel Management 

• Manage, motivate, and retain Sahaj Mitr and Param Mitr 

• Monitor channel productivity and take steps to improve underperformance 

• Resolve channel issues and ensure smooth operational support 


6. Meetings & Tie-ups 

• Conduct regular meetings with Param Mitr and Sahaj Mitr 

• Develop and manage local tie-ups and partnerships to increase business reach 

• Coordinate with internal teams for product, operations, and support 


7. Market Expansion & Development 

• Expand market presence in existing and new locations 

• Strengthen brand visibility through field activities and partner engagement 

• Study market trends and competitor activity to refine sales strategy 


8. Compliance & Reporting 

• Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines 

• Maintain accurate MIS, sales reports, and performance dashboards 

• Share regular updates on market feedback, risks, and growth opportunities 


Eligibility & Experience 

• Graduate / Postgraduate in any discipline 

• 1–8 years of experience in field sales, preferably in BFSI, Insurance, Fintech, or 

Channel Sales 

• Strong experience in channel development and partner management 

• Must be comfortable with extensive fieldwork and daily market visits
