Job Description
- Key responsibilitiesDevelop and maintain server-side components using Laravel (PHP) and Node.js (Express or similar frameworks).
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and, where needed, WebSocket services for real-time communication.
- Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules and Node.js services, following SOLID principles and best practices.
- Integrate user-facing elements built by front-end developers with server-side logic, ensuring seamless data flow and UX.
- Work with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB), including schema design and query optimization.
- Ensure application performance, security, and scalability, including proper authentication, authorization, and data protection.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications; participate in code reviews and continuous improvement of the codebase.
- Write and maintain technical documentation for services, APIs, and core modules.
- Required skills and experienceStrong proficiency in PHP and deep understanding of the Laravel framework (routing, middleware, Eloquent ORM, queues, jobs).
- Solid experience with Node.js and its ecosystem (Express/Koa/NestJS, npm/yarn, asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture).
- Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for integration with front-end layers; familiarity with at least one modern JS framework is a plus.
- Experience with RESTful API design and implementation, including versioning, authentication (JWT/OAuth), and error handling.
- Proficiency with SQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL stores like MongoDB.
- Hands-on experience using Git and standard development workflows (branching, pull requests, code reviews).
- Understanding of web security best practices (input validation, OWASP basics, CSRF/XSS protection, secure session management).
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work in an agile team, and good communication skills
