Position OverviewThe Production Manager will oversee the entire manufacturing process, ensuring smooth workflow, quality output, and timely production. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, knowledge of garment production, and the ability to manage teams, machines, and daily operations effectively.

• Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & ManagementCreate and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
• Ensure optimized utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
• Coordinate with the design, sampling, and cutting teams for production readiness.
• 2. Process SupervisionOversee cutting, stitching, finishing, and quality control departments.
• Monitor workflow to ensure targets are met without compromising quality.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• 3. Quality ControlMaintain high-quality standards for all garments.
• Ensure adherence to quality protocols at every stage of production.
• Address quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• 4. Team LeadershipSupervise tailors, helpers, supervisors, and floor staff.
• Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment.
• 5. Inventory & Material ManagementCoordinate with the store manager for fabric, trims, and accessories availability.
• Reduce wastage and ensure efficient material usage.
• 6. Vendor & Outsourcing Coordination Manage communication with external job workers.
• Ensure timely follow-up, smooth coordination, and quality compliance.
• 7. Reporting & Documentation Maintain daily production reports, attendance, and efficiency logs.
• Share production status updates with management.
• Assist in cost control and forecasting.
• 8. Compliance & SafetyEnsure workplace safety and compliance with company policies.
• Maintain discipline and a clean working environment.
• Required Skills & QualificationsMinimum 3–5 years of experience in garment manufacturing or apparel production management.
• Strong understanding of apparel construction, production flow, and quality standards.
• Ability to manage and motivate large production teams.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, production tracking tools
• Preferred Attributes Experience in ethnic wear or women’s apparel manufacturing.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership and multi-tasking abilities.
