Position: Assistant Manager – Purchase

Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹35,000 per month

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Engineering Spares Procurement

Procure engineering spares, MRO items, and machinery parts.

Ensure timely availability of critical spares to avoid machine downtime.

Coordinate with Engineering & Maintenance teams for technical specifications and requirements.

2. Vendor Development & Management

Identify, evaluate, develop, and negotiate with vendors.

Finalize pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and warranty conditions.

Maintain strong vendor relationships with a focus on quality and reliability.

3. Cost Control & Budgeting

Achieve cost optimization through alternate sourcing and negotiations.

Track budgets and perform comparative cost analysis.

4. Spares Inventory Management

Manage spares inventory using Min–Max and reorder levels.

Review slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory.

Ensure optimum stock levels and effective working capital utilization.

5. Purchase Documentation & Compliance

Handle PR, PO, GRN, and ensure documentation compliance.

Adhere to purchase policies and audit requirements.

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

Coordinate with Production, Stores, and Finance teams.

Support breakdown maintenance, shutdown activities, and preventive maintenance.

7. ERP / SAP & MIS Reporting

Perform ERP/SAP entries and generate MIS reports.

Drive continuous improvement and process optimization.
