Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant proficient in Tally Prime. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day accounting transactions, ensure strict tax compliance (GST & TDS), and prepare Management Information System (MIS) reports to support senior management in financial decision-making. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Tally Prime Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Daily Transaction Recording: Accurate entry of sales, purchases, bank receipts, payments, expense vouchers, and journal entries in Tally Prime.
• Ledger Scrutiny: Regular reconciliation of debtors, creditors, and bank statements to ensure accuracy.
• Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate inventory records, stock entries, and reconciliation in Tally.
• Bank Reconciliation: Daily or weekly Bank Reconciliation Statement (BRS) preparation.

2. Management Information System (MIS) Reporting

• Financial Reports: Preparing monthly Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Trial Balances.
• MIS Preparation: Generating and analyzing reports such as Ageing Analysis (Debtors/Creditors), Cash Flow Statements, and Outstanding Reports.
• Variance Analysis: Comparing actual costs against budgets and identifying discrepancies.
• Data Analysis: Using Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) to create dashboards and reports based on data exported from Tally. 

3. Statutory Compliance (GST/TDS)

• GST Filing: Working on GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2A/2B reconciliation to ensure proper Input Tax Credit (ITC) claiming.
• TDS/TCS: Calculating, deducting, and filing TDS returns.
• E-way Bills/Invoicing: Generating E-invoices and E-way bills within Tally Prime. 

Job Requirements & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (b.com preferred).
• Tally Expertise: Mandatory practical experience in Tally Prime (Experience in Tally ERP 9 is acceptable).
• MIS Proficiency: Strong knowledge of MIS reporting techniques and proficiency in MS Excel.
• Tax Knowledge: Solid understanding of GST laws and TDS compliances.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze raw data to provide actionable financial insights.
• Experience: 1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting and MIS role
