Accountant

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping Maintain books of accounts (Purchase, Sales, Journal, Ledger)

Ensure all entries are recorded accurately in accounting software (like Tally)

Perform bank reconciliations and ledger scrutiny

1. Financial Reporting Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Generate MIS reports for management decision-making

Analyze expenses, revenue, and profitability trends

1. Taxation & Compliance Handle GST (returns, reconciliation, input credit)

Manage TDS (deduction, payment, return filing)

Ensure compliance with Income Tax and other statutory requirements

1. Accounts Payable & Receivable Monitor vendor payments and customer collections

Follow up on outstanding receivables

Maintain proper aging reports

1. Audit & Documentation Coordinate with internal and external auditors

Maintain financial records and documentation for audits

Ensure proper filing and record-keeping

1. Budgeting & Cost Control Assist in budget preparation and tracking

Monitor expenses vs budget

Identify cost-saving opportunities

1. Team Coordination Guide junior accountants

Ensure process adherence within the accounts team

Support cross-functional teams with financial inputs

Key Skills Required Strong knowledge of accounting principles

Expertise in GST, TDS, and compliance

Proficiency in Tally / ERP systems

Advanced Excel skills (MIS, reports, analysis)

Attention to detail and accuracy

Analytical and problem-solving ability
