Job Purpose

To drive health insurance sales through the agency channel by recruiting, training, and managing insurance advisors/agents while ensuring achievement of sales targets and maintaining strong customer relationships.



Key Responsibilities

1. Agent Recruitment



  • Identify and recruit potential insurance advisors/agents to build a strong agency network.
  • Conduct interviews and onboarding processes for new agents.
  • Ensure completion of regulatory and company documentation for new recruits.

2. Training & Development



  • Provide product training, sales training, and process guidance to agents.
  • Support agents in developing effective sales strategies and customer acquisition skills.
  • Conduct regular meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.


3. Sales & Business Development



  • Achieve monthly and annual health insurance sales targets through the agency channel.
  • Assist agents in closing sales and acquiring new customers.
  • Promote health insurance products to individuals, families, and corporate prospects.


4. Agent Activation & Retention



  • Ensure agents remain active and productive.
  • Motivate and guide agents to improve performance.
  • Implement strategies to retain high-performing agents.




5. Customer Relationship Management



  • Support agents in servicing customers and resolving queries.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and policy persistency.




6. Compliance & Reporting



  • Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate sales reports, recruitment records, and performance data.
  • Submit periodic reports to the Branch Manager.

Eligibility Criteria



Education


  • Graduate in any discipline (MBA preferred)



Experience


  • 1-2 years of experience in insurance sales / agency channel / financial services



Skills Required


  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Team management and leadership ability
  • Good communication and networking skills
  • Knowledge of health insurance products
  • Ability to train and motivate agents




Preferred Background



  • Experience in health insurance, life insurance, or general insurance agency channel.
  • Experience in agent recruitment and sales target management.
