Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Senior Backup Analyst with strong hands-on expertise in Rubrik (CDM & RSC) to manage enterprise-level backup, recovery, and data protection operations. The role involves administration, troubleshooting, automation, and continuous improvement of Rubrik backup environments across on-premises and cloud workloads. Key Responsibilities Rubrik Administration - Install, configure, and administer Rubrik CDM and Rubrik Security Cloud (RSC). - Manage SLA domains, backup policies, archival settings, and replication configurations. - Perform daily health checks, capacity monitoring, and environment maintenance. - Integrate Rubrik with VMware, physical servers, databases, NAS, Oracle, SAP HANA, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure). Backup & Recovery Operations - Execute on-demand and scheduled backups for VM, file, DB, and application workloads. - Perform restore activities: entire VM restore, file-level restore, app/object-level recovery. - Validate backups and ensure compliance with RPO/RTO requirements. Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution - Diagnose and resolve Rubrik backup/restore failures, SLA non-compliance, archive/replication issues. - Analyze Rubrik logs, event notifications, and system alerts. - Work closely with vendors (Rubrik Support) for complex escalations. Perform service restarts and node-level troubleshooting when required. Cloud & Integration - Work with AWS/Azure backups through Rubrik RSC. - Manage cloud archive tiers, storage performance, and cost optimization. - Integrate Rubrik with Splunk/SIEM for alerting and reporting. Required Skills - 4–6 years of experience in Backup & Recovery technologies, minimum 4 years with Rubrik. - Hands-on experience with Rubrik CDM cluster, RSC SaaS platform, SLA policies, archival, and replication. - Good knowledge of VMware, Windows/Linux servers, NFS/SMB shares, and general infrastructure. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for backup failure analysis. - Experience in cloud (AWS/Azure) backup workflows through Rubrik. - Familiarity with networking, storage, snapshots, and data protection concepts. Preferred Skills - Knowledge of other backup tools (NetBackup, Avamar etc.). - ITIL certification or knowledge of incident/change/problem management.
