Job Description
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing customer relationships through inbound and outbound sales activities. This role focuses on selling products or services remotely via phone, email, video calls, and CRM tools rather than face-to-face meetings. Key Responsibilities Identify, qualify, and pursue sales leads through calls, emails, and online outreach Respond promptly to inbound inquiries and follow up on marketing-generated leads Present products or services clearly, highlighting benefits and value Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers Maintain accurate records of activities and opportunities in the CRM system Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets Collaborate with marketing, customer success, and outside sales teams Prepare quotes, proposals, and follow-up communications Stay informed about products, pricing, competitors, and industry trends Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)Previous experience in sales, customer service, or call-center environments preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Comfortable making outbound calls and handling objections Basic computer skills and familiarity with CRM software Preferred Skills & Competencies Persuasive and confident communication style Strong listening and problem-solving skills Time management and organizational abilities Goal-oriented and self-motivated Ability to work independently and as part of a team Work Environment Office-based or remote position Primarily phone and computer-based work Standard business hours (may vary by company)If you want, I can tailor this for a specific industry (tech, real estate, healthcare, SaaS, retail), experience level (entry-level vs. senior), or commission-based roles.
