Field Business Development Manager (Solar Projects)
*Location:* Bhubaneswar & Coastal Odisha
*Experience Required:* 1–3 Years

*Role Overview
*Business Development Manager* to drive solar panel installation orders under government subsidy schemes across coastal regions of Odisha. The role involves on-ground sales, customer acquisition, documentation handling, and coordination with multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
*Key Responsibilities*
*1. Business Development & Sales*
* Identify and generate leads in coastal areas for subsidized solar panel installations (residential & small commercial).
* Conduct field visits, customer meetings, and awareness sessions about solar benefits and government subsidies.
* Convert leads into confirmed orders through effective pitching and follow-ups.
*2. Customer Documentation & Compliance*
* Assist customers in completing required documentation for subsidy approval.
* Collect and verify KYC documents, electricity bills, property documents, etc.
* Ensure proper submission of applications as per government guidelines.
*3. Government & Department Coordination*
* Liaise with local electricity department officials for approvals, net metering, and inspections.
* Track application status and resolve any bottlenecks in approvals.
*4. Quotation & Deal Closure*
* Prepare and explain customized quotations based on customer requirements.
* Negotiate pricing within company guidelines and close deals efficiently.
*5. Payment Collection*
* Ensure timely collection of advance and final payments from customers.
* Maintain proper payment records and coordinate with accounts team.
*6. Operations & Execution Coordination*
* Coordinate with technicians and installation teams for site visits and project execution.
* Ensure installations are completed on time and meet quality standards.
*7. Reporting & MIS*
* Maintain daily field reports, lead status, and conversion tracking.
* Provide regular updates on sales pipeline, revenue, and operational progress.

*Key Skills Required*
* Strong field sales and negotiation skills
* Basic understanding of solar systems (training can be provided)
* Excellent communication in Odia, Hindi, and basic English
* Ability to handle documentation and government processes
* Problem-solving and coordination skills
* Willingness to travel extensively in coastal Odisha
*Educational Qualification*
* Graduate in any discipline (preferred: Business, Marketing, Engineering)
*Preferred Candidate Profile*
* Experience in field sales, especially in solar, electrical, or infrastructure sectors
* Familiarity with local geography and government processes
* Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable working in field conditions
