Responsibilities:

·         Cluster management: Deploy, maintain, and monitor Hadoop clusters

·         Cluster configuration: Configure the NameNode high availability

·         Cluster performance: Tune cluster performance and troubleshoot issues

·         Cluster security: Monitor cluster connectivity and security

·         Cluster capacity: Plan cluster capacity and screen job performance

·         Cluster log files: Manage and review log files

·         File system: Manage and monitor the file system

·         HDFS: Support and maintain HDFS

·         New users: Set up new Hadoop users, including Linux users and Kerberos principals

·         Software and hardware: Propose and deploy new software and hardware environments

·         Vendor escalation: Be the point of contact for vendor escalations
