Job Title: Liaison cum Tendering Officer,

Location: Bhubaneswar,

Department: General,

Reports to: Director.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Liaison cum Tendering Officer with a strong background in tendering and departmental liaison. The ideal candidate will have extensive exposure to e-procurement portals such as GeM, CPPP, and State e-Procurement portals, along with sound knowledge of the furniture industry.

The candidate should possess 10–15 years of proven experience in tendering, liaison, and coordination with Government and relevant authorities. This role involves active participation in tenders, effective liaison with Government bodies, and driving revenue growth through new business acquisition in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

Government Liaison

  • Liaise with Central & State Government departments, PSUs, local authorities, and statutory bodies.
  • Coordinate with departments such as PWD, CPWD, R&B, Municipal Corporations, Fire, Electricity, Water, Pollution Control Board, Labour Dept., etc.
  • Obtain approvals, licenses, permissions, NOCs, and statutory clearances for projects.
  • Track file movement, follow up regularly, and ensure timely approvals.
  • Maintain professional relationships with government officials and consultants.
  • Represent the company during inspections, meetings, and departmental reviews.

Tendering (Government Projects)

  • Identify government tenders from e-procurement portals (GeM, CPPP, State e-Procurement portals).
  • Study tender documents, eligibility criteria, BOQ, and conditions thoroughly.
  • Prepare, compile, and submit technical and commercial bids within deadlines.
  • Coordinate with estimation, design, accounts, and legal teams for tender inputs.
  • Handle EMD, tender fees, performance security, and bank guarantees.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and respond to tender clarifications.
  • Support post-tender activities including negotiations, LOA, and agreement execution.

 

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure adherence to government tender rules, GFR, and statutory norms.
  • Maintain tender registers, approval trackers, and compliance records.
  • Assist in contract management and renewal of registrations with departments.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of government procedures and tender processes.
  • Hands-on experience with GeM & e-Procurement portals.
  • Excellent coordination, follow-up, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and online documentation systems.

 Educational Requirements:

  • Graduate in any discipline or equivalent .
  • Additional Prior experience dealing with Government departments is mandatory.

Experience:

  • The candidate should possess 10–15 years of proven experience in tendering, liaison, and coordination with Government and relevant authorities.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a target-based environment.
  • Retired professionals possessing suitable qualifications, extensive experience, and sound knowledge of tendering and liaison with Government and private bodies may also apply.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence clients and close deals effectively.
