Job Description
- Generate new and repeat sales, identify, and pursue new business opportunities, and manage the sales pipeline to exceed monthly/annual targets.
- Provide technical expertise, product selection advice, and support to architects, designers, and contractors.
- Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to project specifiers, aiming to get products specified into project designs.
- Utilize CRM to track, update, and communicate projects, as well as manage customer files.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors, architects, and developers.
- Analyze blueprints and job specifications to provide accurate material take-offs and, if necessary, alternate products.
- Proven experience in architectural sales, building materials sales, or a similar construction industry role.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, building envelopes, or specific architectural products.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), and MS Office.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Willingness to travel to client sites, meetings, and industry events.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new customers, including contractors, builders, and developers.
- Handle the full sales cycle, from initial site visits and scoping to presenting proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
- Prepare accurate material lists, construction bids, and project proposals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
- Track sales opportunities in a CRM (e.g., Salesforce), prepare weekly/monthly reports, and monitor performance against targets.
- Proven experience in construction sales, project management, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field is often preferred.
