Oddisha Sales Executive – Pneumatic Power Tools (Industrial / Steel Sector)


Job Summary:


We are seeking dynamic, technically oriented Regional Sales Executives to sell, promote, and demonstrate pneumatic power tools used in the steel and heavy industrial sectors. The role involves extensive field activity, technical product demonstrations, structured reporting, and close coordination with headquarters.


Candidates with a mechanical background, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and prior experience selling industrial equipment, particularly within the steel industry, are highly preferred.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell pneumatic power tools within the assigned region
  • Conduct on-site product demonstrations, trials, and technical presentations
  • Work on a defined list of target customers provided by the company, while also developing new accounts
  • Identify and develop new customers, distributors, and channel partners
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with steel plants, wire rod mills, service centers, fabrication units, and OEMs
  • Understand customer applications and recommend suitable tools and solutions
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Update and maintain accurate CRM records, including customer visits, demos, opportunities, quotations, and order status
  • Prepare and submit detailed monthly sales and activity reports
  • Collect and share market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and customer requirements
  • Coordinate with internal teams for quotations, order execution, and after-sales support
  • Travel extensively within the assigned region (up to 80% travel)
  • Training & Review Requirements:Mandatory 3 weeks of initial training in Kolkata prior to field deployment
  • Quarterly visits to Kolkata HQ for sales briefings, performance reviews, and product / training updates
  • Participation in periodic technical and sales skill enhancement programs as required
  • Preferred Qualifications & Skills:Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline (preferred)
  • Proven experience in sales of industrial equipment, tools, or machinery
  • Prior experience in the steel industry is highly desirable
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Detail-oriented with disciplined follow-ups and accurate CRM reporting
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to shop-floor, maintenance, and engineering teams
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and performance-focused
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80% of the time)
