Motif Design System Developer EngineerPosition Overview

We are seeking a talented Developer Engineer to join our team and contribute to the Motif Design System The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern frontend frameworks and a passion for building scalable reusable component librariesKey Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain components for the Motif Design System using React or Angular

Ensure components are accessible performant and follow best practices

Collaborate with designers and product teams to translate design specifications into functional components

Write comprehensive documentation and usage guidelines for design system components

Maintain and improve the design system architecture and tooling

Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to other engineers

Stay current with frontend development trends and propose improvements to the design systemRequired Qualifications

3 years of professional experience in frontend development

Strong proficiency in React or Angular or both

Deep understanding of JavaScriptTypeScript HTML5 and CSS3

Experience building and maintaining component libraries or design systems

Knowledge of accessibility standards WCAG and best practices

Familiarity with version control systems Git and CICD pipelines

Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication and collaboration abilitiesBonus Qualifications

Experience with Web Components and web standards

Proficiency in Stencil for building frameworkagnostic components

Experience with NX monorepo management and build tools

Knowledge of design tokens and theming systems

Experience with Storybook or similar component documentation tools

Understanding of CSSinJS solutions and modern styling approaches

Experience with testing frameworks Jest Storybook Playwright
