Job Purpose: Associate - Field Quality (Civil / Mechanical) is responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of mechanical components in wind, solar & hybrid projects by conducting thorough inspections, coordinating with vendors, and adhering to quality assurance protocols. This role ensures that all mechanical equipment meets technical specifications and safety standards, addressing quality issues through root cause analysis, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Quality Assurance and Inspection:
Ensure the timely organization of inspections for the supply of mechanical components for Wind, Solar & Hybrid projects.
Conduct field inspections and site audits for mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with Safety and Quality Assurance Protocols (SQP, SFQP).
Complete all inspections within 12 hours of receiving a Request for Inspection (RFI), and update NC/FOM log sheets in the Daily Quality Report (DQR).
Vendor Quality Management:
Provide technical support to Field Quality Assurance (FQA) for mechanical packages in Wind, Solar & Hybrid projects, focusing on improving vendor processes to meet quality standards.
Analyze non-conformities and lead root cause analysis (RCA), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and measurement system analysis (MSA) to prevent recurrence of defects.
Develop and review Standard Quality Plans (SQP), Supplier Quality Procedures (SFQP), and Risk Quality Protocols (RQP) for mechanical equipment in Wind, Solar & Hybrid projects.
Project and Process Improvement:
Lead the development and upgrading of QA requirements and protocols for Wind, Solar & Hybrid projects, focusing on compliance with international standards like ISO and IEC.
Ensure the completion of continuous improvement projects, including the implementation of lessons learned from previous projects, and update SQP and protocols as necessary.
Audit and Compliance:
Carry out vendor assessments and store audits, submitting reports to the management team, and ensure compliance with audit plans.
Resolve quality issues and close non-conformities observed during inspections or audits as per the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure 100% compliance with safety standards during inspections and site audits for all mechanical components.
Coordination and Reporting:
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of quality and inspection activities.
Regularly review and submit MIS reports, including inspection and non-conformance data, to maintain quality oversight.
Participate in site visits during initial construction phases to ensure compliance with SFQP and departmental standards.

Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
Certifications in Quality Assurance or related fields are preferred.
Work Experience:
7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Inspection activities for wind, solar & hybrid projects.
Proven experience in handling inspections, vendor assessments, and non-conformance management for mechanical or civil components.
Experience with tools like Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
Familiarity with quality standards and protocols such as ISO and IEC applicable to renewable energy projects.
Experience in working with cross-functional teams, vendors, contractors, and external agencies.
