Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Execution: Lead the civil engineering activities from project initiation to commissioning, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and budgetary constraints.
• Site Management: Supervise and coordinate site activities, ensuring safety protocols, construction methods, and environmental standards are strictly followed in alignment with Adani’s safety-first culture.
• Technical Supervision: Review and approve civil engineering drawings, designs, and specifications, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and industry best practices.
• Vendor and Contractor Management: Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure material procurement, resource allocation, and work execution are aligned with project requirements.
• Quality Assurance & Control: Implement and monitor quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections to ensure all civil works meet the highest standards of quality and durability.
• Cost Management: Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and monitor expenditures to optimize resource utilization without compromising quality or timelines.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to civil construction activities and implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project progression.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation including progress reports, compliance records, and technical documentation to facilitate transparency and audit readiness.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between project teams, clients, regulatory authorities, and internal departments to foster effective communication and ensure project alignment with organizational goals.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation and process improvements by incorporating lessons learned, adopting new technologies, and enhancing construction methodologies to increase efficiency and sustainability.
• Team Leadership & Development: Mentor junior engineers and site staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and teamwork in line with Adani’s leadership principles.
• Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure all civil engineering activities comply with environmental laws, safety regulations, and Adani’s commitment to sustainable development and social responsibility.

• Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and earthworks related to large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience in contract management, procurement procedures, and project cost control systems.
• Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations specific to power/energy sector civil works.

Qualifications

Education Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a recognized university or institute.
• Master’s degree in civil engineering or project management is preferred.

Experience

10-12 years of progressive experience in civil engineering project management within the Power/Energy industry.
