Manager - Mechanical

Responsibilities

As a Manager - Mechanical, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of mechanical systems integral to our power generation assets. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical engineers and technicians to deliver high-quality engineering solutions and maintenance services.
  • Mechanical Operations Oversight: Oversee all mechanical aspects of power plant operations, including boilers, turbines, pumps, compressors, and auxiliary systems, ensuring adherence to operational parameters and safety standards.
  • Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: Design, implement, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.
  • Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute mechanical engineering projects including installation, commissioning, and upgrades of equipment, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards.
  • Technical Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Provide expert technical guidance for diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues, implementing root cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all mechanical activities comply with statutory regulations, Adani’s safety policies, and environmental guidelines, fostering a zero-incident work culture.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for process optimization, energy efficiency, and cost reduction through innovative mechanical solutions and best practices.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination: Manage relationships with equipment manufacturers, service providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless procurement, technical support, and service delivery.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs; prepare technical reports and performance analyses for management review.
  • Training and Development: Facilitate training programs to enhance technical skills and safety awareness among the mechanical team.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and manage budgets related to mechanical maintenance and projects, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.

Qualifications

Education Qualification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized university.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Energy Management will be an added advantage.
Certification Required
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or relevant project management certification is an advantage.
  • Safety certifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent are desirable.
