Retail Store Manager

1. Job Summary

The Retail Store Manager is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, driving sales performance, managing staff, and ensuring excellent customer service.

This role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and operational control to maximize profitability while maintaining brand standards.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Sales & Revenue Management

Achieve monthly and annual sales targets

Increase footfall conversion rate

Monitor daily sales reports and KPIs

Plan promotional activities and offers

Analyze slow-moving and fast-moving inventory

B. Store Operations

• Open and close the store as per SOP
• Maintain store cleanliness and visual merchandising standards
• Ensure billing accuracy and POS management
• Monitor stock levels and reorder inventory
• Prevent stock shrinkage and pilferage

C. Team Management

Recruit, train, and supervise sales staff

Create staff duty rosters

Conduct performance reviews

Motivate the team to achieve targets

Handle staff grievances

D. Customer Service

Handle customer complaints professionally

Ensure high customer satisfaction levels

Build long-term customer relationships

Encourage repeat business

E. Financial Control

Manage store expenses

Maintain cash flow and daily cash reconciliation

Ensure compliance with company policies

Submit weekly/monthly performance reports
